Open Summit AI Adelaide 2026

Thursday 29 October 2026 · Adelaide Town Hall · Doors 11am · Main programme noon–3pm

Join us at Adelaide Town Hall as we bring business owners, founders, operators and senior leaders into one room to examine AI in practice. The afternoon connects research and policy with the decisions businesses face: where to invest, how to apply AI to operations and how to stay visible as customers increasingly use AI to find answers.

Our announced Adelaide speakers include Toby Walsh, Anton van den Hengel, Kate Save, Jack Bear, Hon. Chris Picton MP and Clayton Cross. Keynotes and conversations take place on one stage, with time around the programme to meet other attendees and explore partner exhibits. You do not need a technical background to follow the business discussion.

Runtime and the shape of the day

The main stage programme runs for three hours, from noon to 3pm. Doors open an hour earlier at 11am for registration, networking and partner exhibits. Arriving during that window gives you time to check in and settle before the programme starts.

Time Published Adelaide outline
From 11am Doors, registration and networking; The AI Advantage in Action; partner exhibits
Noon–3pm Main stage talks and the operators' panel
From 5pm Evening outline lists VIP networking drinks, networking drinks and AI Pitch Night

We'll announce our full Adelaide programme, individual session times and more speakers as the event approaches. The evening activities have their own access arrangements; a three-hour main programme does not mean every ticket includes every evening activity. Check the selected ticket and event information when planning your day.

The conversations on the programme

Our afternoon outline includes Where Capital Meets Code, Getting Found in the Age of AI, Operators on the Front Line and What Comes Next, and How to Be Ready.

Together, those themes connect the investment case for AI with implementation and customer discovery. They give owners and leaders a way to consider the same technology from several angles: what it costs, how it changes everyday work, how customers interact with it and what an organisation needs to prepare for next.

The operators' panel adds a shared discussion alongside the individual talks. The one-stage format means you can follow the whole afternoon without choosing between concurrent sessions. For a team attending together, that creates a common reference point for a conversation back at work.

Announced Adelaide speakers

Toby Walsh is Scientia Professor of AI at UNSW and a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. He brings a perspective on where AI is heading and what that direction means for Australian business. His perspective connects the capabilities of the technology with the choices leaders make about adopting it.

His background spans computer vision, machine learning and their application in industry, adding a locally connected research and commercialisation perspective to the Adelaide line-up.

Kate Save joins us as MC and host. The CEO of Be Fit Food and host of the Inspired CEO podcast brings experience in building a health and food business, alongside her background as a dietitian and entrepreneur.

Jack Bear, Founder of Norg AI, works on how businesses are discovered through AI search. He brings a perspective on the infrastructure behind appearing in AI-generated answers and the implications for customer discovery.

Hon. Chris Picton MP joins us as South Australia's Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy and Minister for State Development. His responsibilities span industry, investment, innovation, science and the information economy.

Clayton Cross, CEO and Founder of Ellipsis Mining, brings an investor's and operator's perspective across technology, venture capital and emerging industries. His work connects capital allocation with the systems businesses build around AI.

We'll share more Adelaide speakers and individual session details here. The people above are announced for our Adelaide event.

Our series behind Adelaide

We're coming to Adelaide after our events at Melbourne Town Hall in May 2026 and Sydney Town Hall in July 2026. Our Sydney film and photographs show what that earlier event looked like: a shared stage, an audience of business decision-makers and conversations around the programme.

You can examine the subject matter through the Sydney speaker deck collection. Clayton Cross's deck covers the operating layer around AI, including model costs and task-based routing. John McGiffin's covers enterprise maturity and the move from pilots into production. Jack Bear's explores discovery and buying behaviour when agents do the searching.

We're joined by the Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industry as our Adelaide Gold Sponsor. Our wider 2026 Australian season has also included Norg.ai, SCX.ai, AgiBot, Fishburners, Same Day Printing, AmCham Australia and School of Hope across different partnership roles. We identify each partner's role and event in our partner section.

Plan your visit and your conversations

The venue is Adelaide Town Hall. Use the Adelaide Town Hall directions and allow time for registration before noon. For accessibility needs or a booking question, contact team@opensummit.ai with Adelaide and the event date in your message.

Bring a specific question from your business: an AI pilot that has stalled, a process that consumes staff time, or a change in how customers find you. If colleagues are coming, agree on the decisions you want to examine together. Our programme themes offer several opportunities to test those questions from different perspectives.
